Close the curtain before you open your mouth: Real complainers vote part two

We already showed you that Real Complainers Vote, when we posted this story and these awesome posters. Thing is Third Street really want every lazy last one of you to get off your arse and get into the voting booth, so they keep churning out guilt-tripping images. The Chicago based designer Bekah Raleigh and Indiana designer Blaise Vincz have contributed these lovely images to the lot. "Complaining is the SECOND most patriotic thing you can do". Yes, hear that? Voting is first. Now go do it!

Adcolor Awards - Color Adds Depth , 3D campaign shot by Mark Zibert

This real 3D campaign lead by Mark Figliulio and shot by Mark Zibert will bring forward some familiar faces making waves in diversity for the Ad Color awards, with the tagline: "Color Adds Depth". It also adds funky 3D glasses retro look to famous musicians like Charlie Gabriel of Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson of The Roots, and dancing kings like Harry Shum, Jr. of "GLEE". The 2012 ad color awards are held in VEGAS BABY, ahem, I mean, at the The Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas if you care to join.

Etch a sketch: Your cousin does tattoos? Erase your mistakes with just one shake.

Laser eye surgery is way cheaper in Kazakhstan.
Your cousin does tattoos?
Let's pick up that hitchhiker.
Look, half off sushi!
Are you having twins?
Can I pet him?

Back in March, the Etch a sketch campaign was having fun with its newfound political power after Mitt Romney mentioned them. Running with the tagline "Don't you wish you could erase all your mistakes?" each line here shows people making bad calls. Half-off sushi beng a particularly bad one, yikes.

"Vote like an adult, then whine like a baby" - PSA wants you to vote

Real complainers VOTE is the basic idea of the PSA from Third Street. The fantastic looking downladable posters forgoes the "you can't complain if you don't vote" truth, and explores the inverse, that if you do vote, then boy-oh-boy can you ever complain. In lovely looking layout and with cuss-words to boot. I love these so much.

Lets have the Finnish gais explain:

In the "meat-packing district" area of Helsinki, in an old slaughterhouse renamed Kellohalli opened as a restaurant. Kellohalli has a different approach to food. Food is seen as fuel, a stimulant, a topic. Food can be anything, even a way to express feelings.
The Helsinki World Design Capital 2012 wanted to highlight Kellohalli as one of its main events. We did four posters to communicate the essence of Kellohalli.

In other words, food is sex. Dirty. Messy. A mashup. Gross. And oh so yum. Yikes. Pork Chops. Chicken legs. Cucumbers. If your mind went dirty places at those words, you need to visit Kellohalli. Also: OMG YOU PERV. Call me.

This billboard was created for St-Matthew-in-the-city Church to show their support for the Marriage Amendment Bill, which aims to legalise same-sex marriage in New Zealand. The rejected subline was "as long as we can watch". No I'm kidding.

Samsung mocks iPhone 5 "totally different plug" with print ad

"It doesn't take a genius" the headline cooly states and then we are shown a feature-comparison. Notice that the iPhone 5 feature list ends with "a totally different plug", a "feature" most iPhone owners do not want as it renders all their extra peripherals such as snap in speakers and even car-holders redundant. For crying out loud, the sudden stability in plugs was one of the attractive things about iPhones, and I'm sure that Nokias & Ericsson constant charger changes turned many people off and away from those brands.

At the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show, Viaje Founder Andre Farkas provided an overview of his upcoming cigar, the Viaje Honey and Hand Grenades (HHG). Inspiration for the name came from the cigar's profile describing a combination of sweetness and strength in the blend.

Simon+Associates found they had no problem at all extending the name into an equally sweet and strong design.
