Turkish Airlines - Dreams - (2014) 2:00 (Turkey)

Turkish Airlines - Dreams - (2014) 2:00 (Turkey)

Four kids dream big, they want the airplanes they see fly by to land in their town. They build a little airport, complete with lights on the runway at night, and call for the planes to land in their makeshift runaway. Then one day, it actually happens.

Berrge Tattoo Shop - QR code tattoo job opening ad - (2012) print Turkey

Berrge Tattoo wanted only skilled artists to apply for their job opening, so they printed a skin-toned ad with QR code in it. A QR code that could only work if the applicant had a steady hand when filling it in. Clever. Finally someone is using QR codes in a way smarter than most.

"New tattoo artists wanted. To apply, fill in the QR code carefully."

Burger King used 2,548 hot sauce packets to make a hot sauce billboard.

Y&R In Turkey decided to gross us all out by using 2,548 hot sauce packets to make a billboard depicting a person reacting to the hot of the hot sauce.

Yes, real hot sauce packets. Good thing it doesn't rain too often, but it seems this hot sauce is also resistent to gravity. I don't want to eat that. But the passer-by caught in the photo here might be thinking about it. I wonder how long this stayed up before curious kid fingers ruined the motif? In a way it reminds me of the bubble gum by numbers posters, fascinating but gross. The bubble gum by numbers were a very clever way to encourage people to dispose of their gum properly though.

Farkyeri ad agency declares they are not men in response to offensive Hitler men's shampoo ad.

In response to the Hitler recommends Bimen shampoo for men Farkyeri, a local Turkish ad agency, decided to don dresses and declare that they are not men. Because if using the likeness of the man that launched a thousand deaths is a "manly" way to shill shampoo they want no part of it. "If manhood is racism and gender apartheid..." I love this. I'll hand the microphone to them:

“We are not men…”

We, as a local advertising agency in Turkey, hereby condemn the unfortunate commercial produced in March 2012 by an advertising agency from our country for a shampoo brand in our country by using the images of a speech delivered by Adolf Hitler.

Cool outdoor, a refrigerator billboard for Coke

Coca Cola and McCann Erickson, Istanbul built a refrigerator poster at a bus stop, Looks like it was held together a bit sturdier than the double sided tape that Sdsvenskan used on the billboard I broke.

Ismet Dural Circumciser - Cut - print, Turkey

Grey Healthcare in Istanbul had a little fun with this brief - the problem to solve was that Ismet Dural Circumciser wasn't very well known in his neighbourhood. The solution, make a classic "take number" poster with a little extra on it. When people took the number they had the "circumcised" part left on the card to remind them of the doctors speciality.
