This wasn't an Abercrombie thing, number one. It was self-promotion for a director to try and get more eyeballs on his work. Unless Abercrombie is so genius all of a sudden they went meta on us, but I hardly think so. Also, I hate to tell you, if you're buying clothes in suburban shopping malls, there is nothing elite or distinguished about you. in fact it's quite the opposite. you are pedestrian.

Fair enough. You're not a plant. But I can guarantee you there are usually plants standing by, same way as EA. This is advertising. It's one of the tools of the trade. Social media is generally unauthentic from the start. The majority of Buzzfeed top ten lists are nothing more than paid advertising. Likes are bought on youtube twitter fans are bought, and the use of "fans" by a brand on instagram is so bad now, that the FTC has determined paid posts must be labeled as such. And by "paid," that could mean as little as an ad agency buying you a cup of coffee. Until proven otherwise, I'll substitute "plant," for "tools of advertising."

I like the animation style, too. As far as a concept, not so much. Between Whisper Fight and this one though, Oreo needs to stop being to bi-polar. I guess that might be the problem of having multiple agencies. As for Adam Young/Owl City fans, the point we're making is you are doing all the work for advertisers who are tapping into your fandom and allowing you to do all the work for them rather than hire a PR company. if you're okay with that, fine. Me, I'd be a little bit upset if someone was counting on my social media behavior to pimp their ad because they know you're a fan of sugary emo elctro pop. Had they chosen another singer, this thread wouldn't exist.

Of course you use hashtags to have other people find you. Including advertising agencies. Perhaps the commentators don't know this but we are busy monitoring your behavior so we can make use of it. Of course the song was released early. Bonus to you! Of course you are a hardcore fan base. You didn't need to tell me that. But whether you like to believe it or not, you are promoting the spot as much as Adam. You may not be bothered by it. I'm not either, I'm just pointing out that this tactic is getting more obvious every day.

Not sure I buy your critique. What exactly is offensive about it? Brooklyn Industries organized a fundraiser to help this part of the community that still needs help. They are part of the community, too. Are they not allowed to do that? You seem like you're more worried that they "revamp the clothing" instead of helping a community. I don't think this was shocking at all. They're trying to help. And really if you didn't know where it was photographed would you even be so outraged?

"People can smell bullshit a mile away." No kidding. This is the most self-absorbed crock of shit I've ever heard. He says he likes to have engaging conversations with people, and yet when it comes to actually answering the question "do you think you raised so many millions so quickly because you are a popular celebrity as opposed to a no name," he glosses over it. He was talking about how he had his own blog back in the myspace days and was putting up 'day in the life,' videos of rachel bilson on "the last kiss." I assume he must have raised money for those films too because fan base. Right?

Just as important as the privacy concerns is the fact Google's support page warns the potential cause of eye damage in young kids. Glass isn’t for everyone. Like when wearing glasses, some people may feel eye strain or get a headache. If you’ve had Lasik surgery, ask your doctor about risks of eye impact damage before using Glass. Don’t let children under 13 use Glass as it could harm developing vision. Also, kids might break Glass or hurt themselves, and Google’s terms of service don’t permit those under 13 to register a Google account. If Glass is not for you and you wish to return it, do so before the end of the applicable refund period.
