Let me put down my Beska... I liked the ad ‘cos of Clint... The message was a wank... But then, virtually all car ads are a wank. As I posted... I’m sick of all those Americana images Firefighters, cowboys, Playboy Bunnies, whatever. They should have just had Clint in the dark, then at the end he pulls out his giant Magnum 45 And delivers the line... “Are you feeling lucky? Buy the fucking car, punk!” Did you see my post on Goodby’s Silverado spot? As I said... No CGI needed... It was shot in Detroit ‘Cos Detroit is one giant shit hole. Are your super bowl ads feeling lucky

  • Now that's advertising! I loved the March of the Emperors" this keeps up the theme very well. You just don't see stuff like that in the US any more. Thank God for "Old Europe!" I'll put it up on AdScam. Cheers/George

  • Good for Roy. Better than getting shitfaced in NoBu at Wal-Mart's expense. But, if he walked 24/7 and wore a diaper, he could do it in a couple of months. Cheers/George

  • Yeah... I know it pisses "One" off when someone else rips "One" off. But when "One" rips another "One" off, it isn't plagerism... It's an "Homage." So much classier in French. Cheers/George

  • Ask That is one of the best "Demos" I have ever seen of what obviously goes on in the mind of someone suffering from this problem. It's also the best example of whet I call "The Reveal." And it's not overlaid with bullshit the way it would be if done in the States. Very Swedish... Very un-Grey (That's Grey-US!) Cheers/George

  • It's not CGC (Consumer Generated Content) It's CGF (Consumer Getting Fucked) But you know what, lot's of people who don't have a real life will sign up for it. Then if it's any good, Lee Clow will enter it in next years Cannes... Under his name. Cheers/George

  • Jesus Ask... Is that all the posts and nominations you've had? What the fuck is going on? In the interest of making it more open and competitive I am going to suggest a couple of extra categories... 1: Stupid Ad Blogs written by people who've obviously been in the business less than three months. 2: Blogs written by egomaniacs (Big category) 3: Blogs written by account execs... These will obviously be done in Power Point using MBA speak cliches throughout. 4: Boozing and screwing around... (Again, another big category, it covers just about everyone I know.) There you go... Trying to be helpful here. That's the kinda guy I am! Cheers/George

  • All the evil shit about how well and trully this is a giant fuck up is on AdScam... For some weird reason, no one else is posting about it and it's the biggest news of the year. Get your ass over to AdScam and enjoy. Cheers/George

  • The Lynx ad isn't distasteful... It's fucking stupid. Not only is it the kind of thing six year olds do behind the toilets at school... It's a complete throwback to the fifties... Just like the stupid Axe spots, where all you have to do is spray on this shit and women go apeshit for your body. Talk about Old Spice deja vue. when it comes to "Masculine Products" Doesn't anyone have original ideas any more? Jesus the people who produce shit like this should be castrated, then sprayed with this shit and we'll see if it works! Cheers/George

  • Ask A couple of G&T's and I'm ready to go... #1 Italian Classic Creativity - #2 Nothing... Waste of time, buy a D&AD annual. But, if I must, how about... The Hidden Persuader #3 YesButNoButYes - AdFreak - AdVerb - Freelance Fred - BuyItOrDie - MakeTheLogoBigger - Advergirl - Where's My Jetpack? #4 Adland... Adland... Adland... Russian Marketing #5 I'd say AdH**l... But I can't, so I won't. #6 Weiden/London #7 Russell Davies... Is there anyone else? #8 Whoever bribes me the most #9 The Cartoonist #10 What's typography? #11 They're all wankers #12 Strumpette... The one that's written by a guy pretending to be a girl. But the pictures of the faux girl are great. #13 I'm alergic to virals, aren't they a disease? #14 psfk and the various variations #15 Jonathon J. Harris... Who??? Just the most amazing web guy in the universe, check him out. #16 Eggbaconchipsand beans. #3's a bit top heavy, but that's where most of the good stuff is... And I didn't put mine in there! Too bad you can't break that category down a bit... I know, tough to do. But that's why you get the big bucks. Cocktail time... Again. Cheers/George
