Every year, Men's Fitness has it's fattest-cities survey, and every year, nobody notices that it's completely inaccurate, useless, and so forth.
Do they measure the fitness of a representative sample of the residents? Do they measure the amount of food eaten at fast food restaurants by locals? No. They do none of these things. They count the number of fast food restaurants, the number of gyms, the number of highways, and the number of parks, and then make up a score.
One of the most important factors in the survey is the gyms-per-capita stat. Why? Well, Men's Fitness is owned by Weider, which is a manufacturer of sporting goods, particularly weight training and gym equipment. Also of supplements.
Of course the primary goal of the survey is to make Men's Fitness look good. The secondary effect is to find a city with few gyms, and try to guilt it into gym membership, driving up the sales of Weider equipment.
And Ad-rag, of all places, totally misses it. Excellent PR-- bad reporting.
It is a wonderful thing to have the Hebrew heritage and you should be glad...however that does not mean you could not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. However, this particular "christian" book or magazine is not the best (or even close to the best)
intoduction to the person of Jesus Christ or His Gospels. If anything, your response proves its failure as a tool of outreach and witness. Jesus never did and still does not seek to trick or seduce anyone to Him. The Bible(old and new testament) is like a really great stew...it stands on its own...no need for ketchup or hot sauce. One day you might want to try reading the original recipe without the sugar and spice thrown in...Believe me...you'll never taste anything better!

What a shame - probably too young to know any better. It's easy to say people "work awfully hard to be offended." In reality, companies work awfully hard to be offensive. There are many ways to sell a product, why use a mythical character, mocking all things Irish, to peddle a product? Now that the word is out, Dr.Pepper/7up is doing all they can to clean up the ad. It's one thing to sue over dropping coffee in your lap, it's another to not have the sense and understanding of what that ad may mean to the viewing audience. If you knew your history Anonymous you wouldn't be so trite. I'm sure you'd be happy to see companies mock all things American by displaying little more than greed - yo quiero Taco Bell.
