ACNE Signs Director Kim Jacobs for US Representation

Cutting-edge production collective ACNE is excited to announce the addition of Director Kim Jacobs to its multifaceted roster. A consummate storyteller, Kim always looks for the most inventive approach to best serve the core of every narrative. She has a keen love and understanding for humanity and translating that to film, paired with the ability to bring conceptual ideas to life with visually arresting images and smart humor.

Part of Kim’s success comes from her knack for putting people at ease, allowing her to evoke natural performances and a sense of real emotion in the acting talent. She is also well-versed at seamlessly infusing VFX, allowing her to craft worlds that feel accessible, with a magical twist.

Kim Jacobs’s naturally curious instincts have always driven her to find unexpected ways to approach creative solutions – a passion that very much mirrors the ethos of ACNE. She explains, “ACNE isn't only about directing TV commercials; the brand is really all about exploring new ideas and creative solutions. Whether that idea manifests in a spot or a piece of content or another product - ACNE has the capabilities and the team of people to make it happen.”

A native of Southern California, Kim’s immersion in film began at the early age of 17, assisting the media director of an international cosmetic company on global fashion shoots. She completed Art Center’s Film Program before taking off to live and work in Europe and New York, before coming full circle back to Los Angeles.

Along the way, Kim honed her skills and built a strong reel working with progressive agencies such as TBWA, Amalgamated, Publicis, McCann, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Y&R, and Ogilvy, directing projects for top brands including Visa, Hyundai, ESPN, Nissan, General Mills, and J.C. Penny, to name a few. This work has been recognized by The One Show, Clios, a Cannes Silver Lion, Telly and a PromaxBDA Gold Award.

Always curious and diving deeper, Kim constantly explores endeavors in creative arenas outside of directing. Last fall, she curated the group art show “Lost in Space” at the Design Matters Gallery, and launched Rusticoffee, a high-end mobile coffee business.

Kim strives to continue collaborating with global brands to create awareness for big ideas that have the power to ultimately help mankind. Currently, Kim is working on an exciting project with “I Am That Girl,” a media platform and community created to empower young girls by starting a conversation that emphasizes similarities amongst women and provides a space for them to support each other.

Kim is currently in pre-production of an ACNE STORY.

ACNE is a Scandinavian-born integrated production company with offices in Los Angeles, Stockholm, London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam.
