Bastille 1789 is a French whisky. The idea here operates under the premise that, while Americans know the French are all about their wine, the idea of French whisky is something very "strange." So they created this strange little black and white film featuring Holt McCallany.

I think what's really going on is someone at the agency likes the movie Alphaville. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It certainly got my attention. So the all important "advertising CD with love of French New Wave Film," demographic is hooked. Fun film and a very nice homage.
