Invented by the Curtiss Candy Company way back in 1923, the Nestlé Butterfinger has come a long, long way since dem days. Bart Simpson was its spokestoon for a few seasons, and the brand has been extended into Butterfinger BBs, Stixx, ice cream nuggets, ice cream bars, and -- most importantly for this particular post -- Butterfinger Crisp.
Well, that should be enough for an intro. Here be the goods:
Ladies and gentlemen, straight from the rear end of their newest TV commercial, Butterfinger has unveiled its latest attention-getting advertising device...
It might just be me, but perhaps the new slogan for Butterfinger Crisp should instead read "Pull the finger." Or "Poke the finger." Or something like that. I'm just sayin'...
It just goes to prove that there's a difference between edgy and sh*tty, and, well... this ain't edgy.
