Scotch-Brite Cleaning Cloth - Ballerina, Doll, Salt & Pepper - print, Romania

Update!

September 24, 2009

The ScotchBrite campaign for 3M was developed for a test market and at no
point in time this campaign was approved for submission to advertising
sites, for publishing. Therefore, we ask every publisher to remove this
campaign as soon as possible or to refrain from publishing these ads on
websites or in other publications. We apologize for this incident.

..........And this brings us to Deleting the ads dilute the resource we are trying to build here. Adland will no longer do it.. Check the terms of service for our updated policy. In this case the enlargement images of the ads have been removed and the trademark has been pixelated.

---- end update--------

"Dust is embarrassing" ... Embarrassing? One of the little dust-guys is pissing on a doll here and another one is jerking off at the sight of a leggy porcelain figure. I think revolting is the word you're looking for guys. Grey Bucharest, Romania is the agency where you can sell household cleaning projects while making fun of severe sexual harassment. Oh yeah, that wanking thing has happened to me - first time when I was 12 years old and walking to school, folks. You'd never believe how many weirdos there are out there who whip out their trousersnake in the middle of street and broad daylight for a shake. I guess that's why I don't find the funny in this here campaign, though I do understand the sudden need to clean it all away. Perhaps that is what they were going for? In that case, stupid like a fox!

These ads are embarassing. They can't be real, can they? Agencies should stop hiring knob-gag obsessed creatives, anyway.

They were developed for a test market*? You mean they showed these to people? Including (edit) that pixcellated company? We have a word for that in England, and that word is: bollocks!

*Trans: the creatives were having a larf
