Adland booted from Google Adsense due to PETA's misogynist ads

Well a merry christmas to us! Adland has had "ad serving disabled" without warning by our dear pals the Google Adsense folks. What did we do? Serve gore to you. It's the top five of PETA's most sexist ads that offends, as there's a woman being clubbed to have her fur stolen, and some lowly mostly nude interns sweating in cellophane in the hot Memphis sun that have blood on them. Like anything PETA, it's a very popular post, partly due to the offensiveness of the imagery. Not sure if it's the nudity or gore that got caught in Google's defunkt algorithm.

Adland now has to sell ad space directly as no ad network currently accepts this website (I know, the irony slays me, I'd be slapping my knees if hosting wasn't so expensive). We've been banned before, twice even, and got un-banned again despite the many bare butts in advertising as someone at Google in Europe came to their senses and realized banning a site that's critical to sexist advertising for depicting the ad was counterproductive. When Google ran boobtastic ads that looked like this on this very website, containing more skin that the ads we were banned for, it was also quite hypocritical.

Google and PETA do have something in common, their disdain for women as Google has served explicit porn ads on newspaper sites, and mail-order bride ads on pirated music sites. Don't be evil indeed, as long as it makes a buck, while they expel smaller content sites who are actively voicing their (female) opinion against it. Maybe Google is misogynist too?

* Adult toys or products
* Ads or links to external sites containing adult content
* Adult links and/or adult keywords within the meta data in the source code of your site

VIOLENCE/GORE: As stated in our program policies, AdSense publishers are not permitted to place Google ads on pages with violent or disturbing content, including sites with gory text or images. More information about this policy can be found in our help center ( https://www.google.com/adsense/support/as/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=105954 ).

Most likely it's just an automated system runs by bots who can not read that flagged our PETA post. Either way, I am tired of it. Anyone run a network out there who isn't afraid of the occasional nipple-slip in advertising? Contact us.

Several attempts to get Adland reinstanted have been made, including removing the PETA ads. We're still banned by Google Adsense and there doesn't seem to be anything that can change that. According to Google Adsense rules, we're also responsible for your comments. Creative jokes made in this comment thread have been used as examples as to why the ban can not be lifted.

I just learned about your issues with Google adsense from the Wikipedia. Their "Don't Be Evil" slogan is fake, they are evil. Switch to DuckDuckGo when you search, use Brave browser instead of Chrome and above all, deGoogle your phone. THe fact that they can strangle a sites income and ban people from Youtube on an arbitrary whim is bad for us all when they monopolize the search and hosting.
