Studio artists unite to support Aboriginal-led charitable initiative dedicated to healing and empowering First Nations communities
1 creative studio. 20+ artists working across photography, 3D graphics, illustration and typography. 2 poster sizes. 1 weekend IRL. 2 weeks online. All proceeds to vital local not-for-profit organization, Deadly Connections Community & Justice Services Ltd.
Entropico, known for producing the Netflix film ONEFOUR: Against All Odds, as well as music videos for artists like Tasman Keith (‘Billy Bad Again’, Triple J's Music Video of the Year, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Baker Boy, is set to showcase a new side of their creativity in support of philanthropy. The Sydney and LA-based creative studio, which also handles major campaigns for brands like Samsung, Country Road, and YouTube, will host a dynamic exhibition and accessible art sale at their Gadigal/Sydney creative studios in the first week of October.
The 'Come Together' exhibition will feature over 20 artists from Entropico's roster, displaying a multitude of mediums and styles which will be physically and digitally exhibited. From expressionist painting-like photographers, to bright and playful pop illustrators, cheeky type masters, slick 3D makers, and surreal still life artists, the diverse collection highlights the breadth of talent within Entropico. Limited edition prints of each work will be available for sale, with all proceeds benefiting Deadly Connections, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting First Nations communities.
“Entropico is a creative company that works between advertising and originals, and the creative space we work out of in Aus is also home to Deadly Connections – an organization whose work we greatly admire,” says Entropico Founder Erin Moy. “We have a really strong lineup of boundary-pushing creatives, and we wanted to come together and harness that diverse creativity for a great cause.”
Entropico's work has not only been recognized in Australia but also internationally. Their projects have received J Awards and ARIA nominations, and include high-profile collaborations with brands and artists that resonate globally. This international appeal makes the ‘Come Together’ exhibition a perfect opportunity to engage audiences in both the AUS and US markets.
The studio’s recent projects, such as the campaign work for the NSW Government on Consent and Coercive Control and advertising campaigns for Samsung and YouTube, have demonstrated their ability to address important social issues through creative expression. This aligns with the ethos of Entropico's LA office and the city's vibrant art scene, which often intersects with activism and social change.
Deadly Connections is an Aboriginal controlled not-for-profit organization committed to building strong, safe, and healthy communities by providing a culturally safe and respectful space for First Nations people to engage in healing, access culturally responsive services/programs, and participate in decision-making processes. Deadly Connections disrupts systemic racism, intergenerational disadvantage, grief, loss and trauma by providing holistic, culturally responsive interventions and services to First Nations people and communities, particularly those who have been impacted by the child protection and/or justice systems.
The ‘Come Together’ exhibition will be open for one weekend only, October 5 & 6, at Entropico’s Gadigal/Sydney creative studio, with an online web store available for two weeks to accommodate international buyers. This allows art enthusiasts from around the world to purchase limited edition prints and support a worthy cause.
