Instagram Contest SEPTA

Instagram Contest SEPTA

Earlier this year, Red Tettemer + Partners launched a campaign for SEPTA or the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, which purported to show SEPTA transportation as being clean and safe and easy and eco-friendly.
Now, they're back with an Instagram contest and a microsite aggregator called ISeptaphilly.com . If you get your photo picked, you can win everything from concert tickets, to 76'ers tickets to SEPTA passes, which I can only assume would be the runner up prize. It runs from now until December 21st so people in Philly, get out there on SEPTA start takin' pics and tag 'em with #iseptaphilly!
A few things I see from this initiative which is now only three weeks old:
1. Judging by the number of repeat photos on the site, people are uploading multiple times, for a chance to win.
2. most of the photos involve the trains themselves, or empty stations.
3. Ladies on Instagram take way too many photos of their feet.
4. They must have a great moderator, because as anyone who has spent any time on SEPTA will tell you, it is an expensive urine-scented hell on earth, filled with crazy people and violent people and perverts and did i mention violence?
4. Though the moderation of photos is good, the moderation of hashtags and comments is not. I spotted "I hate the el, #iseptaphilly," "#iseptaphilly although the wait can be brutal sometime-we were waiting for the 58 for 30 minutes due to police activity,"
Still, what better way to get people involved then to appeal to their talent in
