Mmgy global hires Mia Wise to lead global human resources

MMGY Global, the leading integrated global marketing firm specializing in the travel, hospitality and entertainment industries, announced today it has hired Mia Wise to lead human resources globally. As Senior Vice President and a member of the company’s Global Leadership Team, Wise will be responsible for the development, growth and management of more than 350 associates. From the company’s Kansas City headquarters she will also oversee MMGY Global’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, with special emphasis on recruiting and retaining a more diverse employee base across the company. With over 30 years of experience across multiple international industries, her expertise is crucial to guiding the evolution and growth of company programs and support systems.

Clayton Reid, CEO of MMGY Global remarked, “I’m grateful to have Mia aboard to spearhead our best asset – our human capital – and to lead organizational change. Our business looks very different than it did a year ago due to COVID-19’s impact on the travel industry, and I believe Mia’s leadership and extensive expertise will be invaluable as we continue to adapt to these changes and lead our industry forward.”

Wise has held a wide range of management positions throughout her career, including operations, human capital management and employee relations with Fortune 500 companies such as Unilever and Proctor & Gamble. She comes to MMGY Global from Upfield, the world’s largest producer of plant-based consumer goods, where she worked as human resources business manager.

Educated at Washington University in St. Louis, Wise holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. She continues to support her alma matter by mentoring female engineering students as part of the WashU Women in Engineering and Leadership Mentor Collective.
