Back in Soviet Russia, Pepsi drink you!
We see motorcycles rolling up near St. Basil's church in Moscow, a teen skateboarding past three disapproving old women, a kiosk selling Pepsi, a boy break-dancing like Michael Jackson, and more "American" influences.
As bemused parents look on, the young generation in Russia is exploring new looks, new music, new ways of getting around, and Pepsi. This is the first American ad ever to be filmed in Moscow, with an all-Russian cast. Pepsi has been sold on the Russian market since 1974. In 1987, Pepsi was the first advertiser to buy air time on Soviet TV.
