Proof that advertising works: nygirlofmydreams

Patrick Moberg was riding the NYC subway last Sunday when he saw the girl of his dreams, but before he got a chance to talk to her, she disappeared into the crowd. Instead of walking away from his missed connection, he created a website and posted a web video:

I'll be honest, when I first saw the illustration on the website I was sure it was viral advertising for something. At the very least, for his illustrations.

I wonder if this relationship will last longer than the one where that guy tracked down the woman who did the voice recordings for the telephone company.

Seriously, based on the speed, the action, the  "connection," the quality of it all... this smacks of a "lonelygirl15" performance. They got a couple of moments of their Andy Warhol 15, but I have never seen anything in life work this way.
