"Russians don't need visas" - nor do they need copyright

A funny thing happened on twitter today, David Patrikarakos found this snarktastic t-shirt that reads “Russians don’t need visas”.

The airplane on the t-shirt however, is a C-130 Hercules use by the US army 82nd airborne paratroopers, and you can find the US photograph that this t-shirt illustration is based on at siue.edu, this is the photo.
Now, it's possible that the illustrators/t-shirt maker secured the rights to use the image, but the hilarity in using US troops to bolster Russian army pride remains.
