Think it over, New York, Chicago, San Francisco.
We drove our Volkswagen taxi through town on the way to get its picture taken. And did we stop traffic!
You'd think it was the first sensible thing people had ever seen. And maybe it was.
A VW is 4 feet shorter than other cabs. So a whole fleet of them is as good as
getting miles of extra streets for free.
Because they're shorter, VWs get out of the way quicker. So traffic doesn't get all balled up while some lady hunts for a 5c tip.
The people who'd run Volkswagens could buy a lot more cabs for their money and run each one for a lot less, too.
They wouldn't need antifreeze in winter and they could forget about boiling over in
summer; the VW engine is air-cooled.
Above all, the two passengers and the driver of a VW cab would have more fun than any other three people in town.
It may sound peculiar to you to stand on a corner and yell, "Volkswagen!"
But it sounds beautiful to us.
