Amnesty international "The last message' (2016) 1:47 (Peru)

There have been 15,000 people who have gone missing since the early 80's in Peru, due largely to terrorism. The government denied the UN's competency to find the people who went missing and compensate their families. Amnesty International needed signatures to pressure the government. What they did to ensure the signatures was, they brought back the disappeared on social media, to remind others. The people who disappeared weren't faceless and nameless. They were family men, students and more. The end result was that Amnesty got more signatures than it needed, and got the Peruvian government to finally act. Tragic, but powerful.
