BRIS - Swedish, non-profit children's rights organization

BRIS is a Swedish, non-profit children´s rights organization. I wish I could assure you that it's good and helpful, but it is rarely equipped to handle serious issues - this isn't the ambitious child helpline's fault, but the Swedish social/legal system. However, when it comes to being someone to just talk to, BRIS is there. You could phone them, and now you can chat with them. They try to help lonely kids, and kids who are a little lost. They do their best, like a suicide hotline. Sometimes, all you really need is someone to talk to.
So they created a bot, and this lovely little film shows how a girl brings home a robot from school on the last day of the semester. Unlike other children, she'll be home alone. As she settles in for her lonely dinner, the robot wakes up and hangs out with her. This introduces "brisbot", the bot you can chat to on social apps. The cinematography and music are really nice here.
Garbergs explains: "One of the most common and difficult problems that kids face today is a sense of hopelessness or loneliness. Many children that contact BRIS during the holidays talk about how they feel that everyone else is having a cozy time with relatives and friends, but that they feel left out and don’t have anyone to talk to."
Brisbot is available directly in the mobile phone on messaging platforms - Kik and Facebook Messenger. It gives professional counseling, answers and advice for children directly in the chat.
