Budweiser UK kicks off "The official beer of England" campaign, championing the England team’s journey to greatness

Budweiser is the proud partner of the England Women’s team since 2019, and kicks off its new multi-channel campaign ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World CupTM, featuring Beth Mead and England football legend Karen Carney.

The campaign 'Greatness is Yours to Take' celebrates those who never give up and grab every opportunity, embodying the England Women's team.

In the film, Carney confidently and determinedly dribbles the ball on a modern football pitch before sending an unstoppable cross to meet Beth Mead in the box. Mead strikes the ball in the final frame to create an exciting finale that has fans on the edge of their seats.

The 30-second film, created with BETC, showcases women's football progression from muddy pitches to sold-out stadiums. Players skillfully dodge challenges, jump over tackles and pass with precision while fans and Budweiser cheer them on.

The film highlights the team's relentless spirit and tenacity, as they strive towards greatness by aiming to surpass their incredible victory at the UEFA Women's Euro 2022TM and win the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023TM in Australia.

The OOH adverts will appear across the London Underground, bus stops and in large formats across a range of locations including shopping malls and city centres around the country.

Budweiser, the official beer of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World CupTM, is rallying support for the England team and generating excitement for the tournament through extensive media coverage and a major trade campaign by Budweiser Brewing Group/AB InBev UK.

Budweiser has partnered with LadBible for the second time to bring back 'Agree to Disagree', featuring England Women’s team members discussing topics such as the best stadiums and dancers. Budweiser is also collaborating with retailers across the nation to offer exclusive prizes and in-store activations to support the campaign.
ASDA will sell branded bucket hats, and for every pack of Budweiser 15x300ML sold in Tesco, a 50p donation will be given to support adult women’s football through The FA.

The campaign aims to recognize the exceptional growth of women's football and unite the nation to support the team's summer success.
