"How can you make money selling stuff to yourself?" he asks. He then proceeds to give out flyers to passers-by trying to convince them that it's all a conspiracy. To which the Norwegians just laugh.
See, Coop Norge is a Norwegian cooperative. It is owned by 117 local cooperatives with approximately 2 million members. The company has its headquarters in Oslo. The first cooperative store in Norway was opened in the 1850s, and we have similar cooperatives in Sweden and Denmark with equally long histories. It might not be something that's easy to grasp, but the tagline sums it up very well: "Coop - litt ditt" = Coop is a little yours.
