It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the unexpected passing of Jonas Frick. Although he was born in Västerled, Stockholm, he was raised in Lycksele. He studied film in Stockholm and in 1988 directed the action comedy "Strul," starring the entertainer Björn Skifs. He later turned to commercials and in 2000, he moved to the United States to work on commercials through bicoastal/international @radical.media. He died Dec. 22, in a New York City hospital where he was being treated for pneumonia, apparently deriving from a heart ailment, according to @radical.media co-proprietor Frank Scherma. Frick was only 39. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family during this difficult time.
