Entries Now Open for Third Annual Creative Film Awards

2024 ushers in CFA three-day event in Los Angeles

reative Film Awards is now open for entries. Launched in 2020, Creative Film Awards is an iMDb qualifying festival welcoming highly creative commercials, short films, and music videos. With its 16 categories the awards program celebrates filmmakers who think outside of the box and create highly visual media.

CFA employs a rolling submission model with first round submissions closing in March of 2024 and additional rounds opening throughout the year, the last one closing in August. Official selections will be made from each round to be entered into the final competition where they will be presented to a highly esteemed panel of jurors from across the industry. This year’s jury is comprised of 8 industry professionals with backgrounds in film, music, advertising and more. Amongst them, the lead curator for Vimeo Staff Pick and VPs of Creative at both Warner and Capitol Records.  

Introduced this year, the 2024 competition will close out in September with a jam-packed, three-day festival held in Los Angeles. Programming will include panels, showcases and networking events all culminating in a closing night ceremony honoring CFA winners hosted by House of Cocotte in the Arts District.

About the inspiration for this year’s festival, CFA Founder Clément Oberto said, “Our initial intention was to create a platform where filmmakers are celebrated for their creativity, giving their works lasting visibility. We then saw a need to come together with other members of the industry, to meet in person, and encourage collaboration and professional connections. Ultimately, we want to create a true community that lasts beyond just the festival or the competition.”

All films selected will be screened during the festival, winners will receive sponsorship prizes and opportunities throughout the year to show their work.
