Glamour Sales, a young Chinese and smart luxury flash sales website needed a Glamorous spokesperson. A demonstration of Glamour to stand out.
Fred & Farid Shanghai found better than a model, better than a top-model, better the sexiest Weibo fashion KOL, the agency chose: a dog. They selected a 'spokes dog', a dog so glamour that all girls would go crazy for it on Weibo. It was called the Glam Dog.
Fred & Farid Shanghai organised a "Glam Dog Fashion Show" directly on the famous Bund in Shanghai. The fashion press, real fashion KOLs and fashion personalities were invited. It went viral with a total number view of 2.650.000.
Then the Glam Dog star became the brand's community manager on Weibo, WeChat and other digital platforms for Glamour Sales.
Globally, the fans were fascinated by this "Puppylarity". The Glam Dog campaign succeeded in attracting Chinese's netizen's attention, and helped busting the traffic on brand's website from 4 millions to 6 millions, with sales increased by 47% during the period.
