FirstBank - Puppy Sale (2015) :60 (USA) super bowl

To a sweet, American heartland soundtrack, dad and son fixup a dusty country store. Son’s attention is across the street, where a pickup has puppies for sale. Chores done, dad tousles boy’s hair, and boy runs to pick out his new best friend. Dad goes to the ATM for cash and in the time it takes him, the last pup is sold. Boy is near tears.

“Introducing Person to Person Transfers. Pay anyone, anywhere, from your phone.”

A follow-up will run, for those viewers who do not appreciate unhappy endings to their Super Bowl spots.

(Boy, on set, facing camera.) “Hi. I’m Charlie. I appreciate your concern for me not getting this puppy... Truth is, I’m an actor. That wasn’t my real dad, and this isn’t a real town. And this dog... I never wanted him.” (Hands pup offscreen.) “I’m more of a cat person. So thank you for caring. But hopefully we all learned a valuable lesson. Person to Person Transfers are faster than going to the ATM. And commercials aren’t real.”

This ad will run 3rd quarter in Colorado, pre-game in Arizona. Post-bowl it will air Super Bowl night on Jimmy Fallon in Colorado, NBC NFL News Special in Arizona. There is also a 30 second edit.
