One bit of trivia about the truck, although I can't swear to its accuracy since it comes from imdb, that fountain of misinformation:Continuity: Just prior to the big chase in which the Ford truck does all of the big jumps, Majestyk pulls the truck into the driveway and parks in front of the house. He then unhooks the trailer and leaves it behind the truck. When he runs out of the house and jumps into the back of the truck as the woman drives it away, the truck is facing the other direction and the trailer is not in sight.
I do miss 70's stunts, but there's no way a two-wheel drive Ford truck can do that mess. My '91 F150 gets stuck in flat ground...with grass...after a moderately light rain.
That's a real beating, back when there was no (decent) CGI.

PermalinkYeah, seventies stunts were all about getting cars airborne - for real. :)
