GE and BBDO New York somehow convinced Jeff Goldblum to be a spokesperson once again. And like so many other campaigns where Jeff Goldblum is a spokesperson, he's being Jeff Goldblum - but with a spray tan and Liberace hair. You see, looking good requires great lighting and nobody knows that better than over-the-top Hollywood types. This bizarro ad features girls in glittery dresses, grand piano hot tubs and that poor little guy who holds up all the stuff mentioned. Like an infomercial meets your gorgonzola nightmare after watching Behind the Candelabra. This feels a little like the warmed over pizza where that gorgonzola was, using the old irony-informecial schtick, but the casting makes it rather amusing. Now, the only thing we don't know is what GE Link really is, apart from a light remote... Like, does GE Link really give me a bright orange spray tan? That would not go with my hair.
