To be serious for a moment, I am a little tickled that this is the same 'dark, gritty' Bond who we see violently choking a man to death in Casino Royale. But people have short memories. One minute Bond needs to be a stone cold murderer, a psychopathic assassin - because the audience wants realism. But now the recession isn't so bad, we go back to laughable and lovable adventures. Which character do you want? The killer or the comedian? Do we get both?
