I'm a beer drinker, while my spouse is a wine drinker, so we do get this phenomenon a lot. And while I'll order the rye after dinner, neat, he'll order the Amaro Nonino with ice. But anecdotal observations do not equal universal truth's, nor do they brand your beer as any different from the rest. And last I checked, nobody argued that men didn't drink cocktails, who the heck do you think invented the Sazerac? It's an odd sales pitch, albeit nicely directed and well cast.
