"Intestinal ailment ads turn stomachs"

At the risk of spoling every adgrunts breakfast, I must gossip that the backlash against hemorrhoid cream, heartburn and diarrhea adverts on the morning rush hour buses in China has resulted in an all out ban of such ads between the hours of seven and nine.

From Reuters:

"The television advertisements on public transport during the breakfast period had lead to commuters' digestive discomfort," the paper said, citing the broadcasting authority.
"In the interests of those commuters who are in the habit of eating just before boarding, and to avoid affecting commuters' appetites, such commercials will not be aired between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.," the authority said.
