"Musica" statue in Nashville suddenly clad in bell-bottoms

The "Musica" statue in the Music Row Roundabout in Nashville was dressed in bell bottoms last night.

No, this wasn't another coup from the people who thought the statue was obscene back when it was erected in 2003, as locals may remember "the naked statue" which shows nude dancers was initially covered up by protesters who didn't like the nudity.

This hyper-local guerilla advertising idea may in fact nod to that, but this time it's an announcement that singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson's new album "Bell bottom country" is out on Friday. Lainey is the most nominated artist at the CMA Awards, which are hosted in Nashville, this year. So what better place to grab music lovers' attention than with the "Musica" statue in central Nashville? Plus, you can buy the bellbottoms on Lainey's website too.
