November 9th, today, is World Orphans Day. 153 Million are orphaned around the world. SOS Children's Villages provides care and love and protection for children. It's an interesting and perhaps a bit polarizing tactic to celebrate not having a mom but if it grabs attention and gets people thinking about the children who are orphaned, than maybe it'll make an impact. It's certainly a departure from the usual "for the price of one latte a day you can save a child," message that you usually hear. My issue with it is the same as all online videos. It takes so long to get to the point there's a danger that you'll lose the audience before they get to the message.
