Super Bowl XLIII :30 spot to cost $3 million

Gasoline and food aren't the only things going up in price these days. A 30-second spot during the XLIII Super Bowl in Tampa Bay will cost $3 million.
The starting price this year was $2.7 million and the price for a spot during Super Bowl I was $42,500 on CBS and $37,500 on NBC (it was the only time the game aired on two networks). Here's a list of Super Bowl commercial costs throughout the years.
