Trust Condoms - Umbrella (2004) 0:30 (Kenya)

What do you do when you meet a lovely lady just after the rain? You'll never guess what he uses the condom for....

Nicely told story I must say, even though my jaw dropped more than any of the onlookers in this film. ;)

Where I can nominate this to best ad of the year? Rated it 5 thumbs up.

After breaking out in hack-hives from watching the superbowl ads, I'm pleased to see Kenyan creatives kick Budweiser creatives butt.

Keep rating it five, all ye who love it!

'hack-hives', teehehe, gotta remember that.

Great commercial. Does anyone know who the artist is on that song?

Dabitch's picture

check your nearest music store for a band called Blue - the song "One Love" is from the album by the same name.

Does anyone else find it curious that the Kenyan condom fits easily over an entire umbrella?

Dabitch's picture

I think they're trying to say they're extra large maybe? ;)

Well - the condoms used by Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley was bigger...

People. Is this the future? As with the programmers in Bangalore, India we will see more of this sort of creative and kick-assgood advertising created in Africa?

I asked friends in Kenya on Twitter for you, but this is more than ten years ago, and sadly nobody knew. They all remember the ad though, so there's that. Then again, who could forget this umbrella flirting? Best ad of the year 2004, hands down.
