Romania is lagging behind the rest of Europe when it comes to mobile data use. To encourage Romanians to start using more data, Vodafone partnered with furniture retailer Mobexpert, to create digital library wallpaper. Users could go online, chose their favorite free books, choose your pictures or decorations for the shelves and it gets delivered to your door. Then all you have to do to access your new library is scan a book title with your mobile phone or tablet.
Not only did this take off among interior designers and students in cramped dorm rooms, it helped the publishing company in Romania, because they could start selling their books to a new market. Imagine that.
Smart idea. I wish I could get me some of that digital wallpaper. I'd like a mid-century modern looking one.
