Pets.com suffered from the dot com bust in 2000.

Their was a huge problem with Pets.com and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. I guess the Triumph character was too close to the Pets.com character.

But both are still around, if rarely used. Triumph still appears on Conan, and other places; and the Pets.com puppet resurfaced in an employment website TV ad.
