DQ creates a Blizzard Treat for your nose with their first-ever soft serve scented candles

For the millions of Americans who can already smell the pumpkin spice in the air, the DQ brand is launching their second annual Fall Blizzard Treat Menu with a new line of fall Blizzard Treats—just for your nose.

Created by Kansas City-based agency Barkley, the Fall Blizzard Treat Candle Collection is the first-ever candle line inspired by DQ soft serve. The collection features five seasonally inspired scents like Harvest Berry, Heath Caramel Brownie, Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough, Snickers and of course, Pumpkin Pie. The candles come in glass tumblers that were designed as the same cobalt blue as the iconic Blizzard cups. Each candle comes with a lid that features an image of the Blizzard Treat behind its inspiration.

“We’re excited for fans to fill their noses with delectable scents and delight their taste buds with red spoons of delicious flavor,” says Maria Hokanson, Executive Vice President of Marketing at American Dairy Queen (ADQ).

Starting today, the limited-edition Fall Blizzard Treat Candle Collection was offered as a complete set of five candles that were free for DQ fans to claim at DQCandleCollection.com, while supplies last. The candles were so popular that all available sets were claimed within 30 minutes of launching the site. The campaign was promoted through social posts across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

“As early as July, we started seeing DQ fans sending social posts asking for the return of the Pumpkin Pie flavored Blizzard Treat,” says Katy Hornaday, Executive Creative Director at Barkley, “The new fall Blizzard Treats as scented candles pairs the two best things about fall.”
