Gong cha bubble tea uses AI for vertical video ad
In new AI generated campaign, ‘Mini Pearl Adventures’, Gong cha is using vertical video to promote its new Mini Pearls
This campaign went live last week across TV, and digital, features the original version by Nina Simone, as well as two new versions, a Hip Hop cover by L.A-born rapper Duckwrth, and a Rock cover by Canadian duo Crown Lands.
Now, I'm a massive fan of Nina Simone, and the song "Feeling Good", so my main complaint here is that the ad isn't (gasp!) a wee bit longer. Like a 45.
This ad was directed by Adam Smith from Ridley Scott Associates who, as well as directing The Streets’ video for ‘Blinded by the Lights’, has also worked closely with the Chemical Brothers since their first gig in 1994, designing the surreal video elements of their shows as well as many of their music videos and the Chemical Brothers: Don’t Think, documentary.
Ad agency: Dark Horses, London
Director: Adam Smith
