Special Penguin Phones were placed in various locations around Australia, starting in Melbourne. Literature fans could dial one of five authors--John Safran, Jamie Durie, Graeme Base, Father Bob Maguire or Maggie Beer-- and hear an intimate personal story from them.
The listeners were then asked to leave a story of their own. These stories were then collected at the Dial-A-Story website for all to enjoy.
