Swedish hotel Stadt in Lidköping opens 67 pop-up restaurants due to Corona social distancing.

As a creative response in this crisis in order to still attract business, Stadt in Lidköping opens 67 pop-up restaurants.

Unlike Spain, Italy, France and Germany, Sweden doesn't currently have any shelter at home restrictions, but the population is still inclined to practice social distancing,

So, to keep business booming, this hotel has opened up their rooms to become private dining spaces, so that people who want to go out to eat can do so while still being socially distant from other patrons. Clever.

The idea is that instead of getting a table in the restaurant, you are shown to a table in their rooms.

When you have made yourself comfortable and looked at the menu, you place your order via the phone, and do not have to leave the room. In total, there are 67 rooms to choose from or 67 pop-up restaurants under one roof. The concept of "Room service by Stadt" has already been praised on Swedish social media as a fun solution.

Your dining room options serve 2 to 12 people, and there are also large suites and their "secret rooms" available if you prefer.

The menu is set to two dishes for very affordable 298 SEK.

A dinner sitting lasts 2 and a half hours but it is also possible to stay overnight in the room in case you have too much wine with dinner and fancy a nap.
