Victoria147 "Gender equality" (2017) 1:29 (Mexico)

This Mother's Day spot from Mexico is a little different. It focuses on Ana Victoria García, who started Victoria147, to fight for gender equality in the workplace, especially as it pertains to working mothers. IN it we see a woman going to work with her baby and toddler, but it's not literal. No, it represents how men in the workplace see her differently from everyone else. In Mexico, women with children, are caught between a desire to do well at the office, but also raise their children well. And if there is a negative or slanted perception in the office about their ability then its as if they will be looked down upon, passed over or ignored. I really love the end of the spot where the voice over goes into cards. "If the world is not designed for a working mother, redesign the world." Today Victoria147 is the only institution in Mexico that officially certifies workplaces on gender equality.
