New York Tourism Slugs It Out With Culinary Francophobes

NYC & Company, New York City’s tourism agency, is putting out a full page newspaper ad this week to convince ornery anti-French protesters that it’s ok to eat at French restaurants in the city. More...

Considering that they’re trying to reach the same braniacs who poured their French wine down the drain AFTER BUYING IT, perhaps the print medium ain’t exactly the best place to reach this not-so-well-informed target audience. To see the ad, go here and click on the link entitled "NYC & Company Supports City Restaurants" (PDF).

The ad is well-written and makes excellent sense, but I'm afraid the protesters will be too busy shouting obscenities at the French's Mustard bottles in their fridges to pick up a paper. Oh well. Viva la différence!
