Kind of proves that advertising really is a local business. I always laugh how in the US the Winter Ads come out and are shown in places that are still warm and sunny like LA or Miami and I assume Hawaii. And I bet the summer spots with the beach are shown in Alaska.
The dudes in Ghana were a crack up. Would you trust people to create your advertising with those lame signs saying Unleash the Brands Power. I mean its not even in Comic Sans!
I might make fun of all the Agency of the Future talk. But one thing I have noticed is new Agencies tend to Brand themselves. The old School agencys and even CP+B are not brands. They are names. Boring names at that. How can you choose from all the boring agency names that all sound the same. But the newer Agencies try to give you a feeling of what they are about from their name and persona.
I absolutely love this. But could only give 3 stars. One star is deducted for using Auto-Tune. In fact normally this is reason to give negative stars but since this is unique I felt to judge properly I could only take away one star. Another star was deducted for picking a crappy song to use as his. If he wanted to go gangsta he could of picked Fuck the Police or something by Dre, Cube or Wu Tang Clan from the 90's.
My suggestion is that he redos this with a better song and no auto tune if he wants 5 stars.
That is really cool and unique. Not sure if it sells the car. But at least its a cool car. Automotive advertising is the hardest of all advertising. The minute the car hits the street and people are driving it all advertising goes out the window. Because most cars look better in the commercial than on the street. And you can't choose your buyers. Like the Kia Soul has awesome hamster commercials. Then the car in person is goofy and weird looking. And instead of the 16-30 demographic driving it I only see unattractive people over 55 driving while smoking cigarettes. LOL

My question since I don't do TV and I should probably ask my go to TV guy Vinny Warren this, does the Agency hired make more money doing this than say targeting people with the Alpha-1. Too often I see work that is meant to generate billings over success.
