Batuk is a creative collective founded by South African electronic music producers Aero Manyelo and Spoek Mathambo; along with the prolific artist and vocalist Manteiga. This is the debut video, for their debut EP, "Daniel". The sound is an awesome fusion of tribal and electronic beats, and the video's visuals matches. We go from daylight savanna dancing, with scenic shots of cows, to closeup portraits of the singers, all shot in Mozambique by Director and d.o.p. Kent Andreasen. Then, as the hypnotic beat switches up, so does the images and we're treated to blacklight footage where the singers have a light in their mouths, trippy. Technically, a really simple idea, that works really well in conjunction with the music. Director: Kent Andreasen
