How this commercial got past CBS' Standards and Practices, I don't know. Superadgrunt, click read more to see the blood drip from the so-called "Tiffany" network.
For me this is when advertising is too much speaking of our deepest wishes and egoistic feelings... I can say that me myself wouldn't even consider to buy something from this brand.
I was pretty shocked when I saw this spot. It aired during Late Night with David Letterman. In my opinion, this commercial sold the ad more than it sold the product.
I....am....just at a total loss for words with this commercial. They actually make products that get blood out of carpet, I've been there...but won't gross anyone out into why...and I can't see ANYONE legitamitly not letting a hurt couple of any age use the phone b /c they're afraid of the carpet getting messed up.
I believe this ad had to be regional, as I don't recognize the name of the store...not that I would ever go there now.
funny on one level, but an all too sad comment on our society today where your "concern" for your objects i.e. floor, carpet, etc is greater than your concern for your a fellow human being.
You're clearly a myopic US person who is not aware of the fact that those "funniest commercials" shows started eons ago in the UK, and are not related to "Americas Funniest Home Videos", and Dabitch is an actual name. Plus your sarcasm-dar is completely broken. You should have that looked at.
Wow! What funny commercial! laughed out loud! People are so pathetically PC. I am super compassionate and very easy going yet find this hilarious reBecause I can separate a joke from reality.

PermalinkClearly shows why undergraduate humour has no place in advertising.

PermalinkIt was ballsy. I liked it. I think target audience was a bit off, but I don't see cause for an uproar.

PermalinkJust plain bad. not well done, or good concept. Plus it's ballsy for the sake of being ballsy. Which isn't ballsy.

PermalinkDestined to run over and over again on those "worlds funniest commercials" shows and nowhere else.

PermalinkAFV is a 'Family' show and would NOT show this. @Dabitch what a fitting name you chose. Just sayin.
