Derek Jeter’s last season is upon us. To celebrate the man and his Yankees legacy, Gatorade made this tribute. In it, Jeter walks around The Bronx says hello (and goodbye, really) to the people who meant the most—New York fans. This is one of those “real” spots, by which I mean, it really happened, the people on the street weren’t paid actors and the reactions were genuine.
This spot will tug at the heartstrings of every Yankees fan, and every fan of Derek Jeter for sure. My only issue is the music choice. Frank Sinatra’s My Way seems like a first-thought idea.
