It's gotten to the point where a lot of creatives go to youtube first for their "ideas." As in "Idea 1: Let's use (insert youtube influencer with built in audience here) to star in our spot. Often the person has zero to do with the product being advertised. Thankfully this film gets it right from concept to reward to unintended "influencer."
Poor Griffin decided to document his entire Vegas trip using a GoPro. Unfortunately he had it on selfie-mode. His Youtube video garnered 7 million hits at his derpy move. So the good people at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority saw his video (and saw how much he loved Vegas) they gave him a second chance to check out the place and document it in a proper way. Only this time it was in crazy style, culminating in a nighttime Maverick Helicopter tour of the Strip.
Even more interesting is that Griffin works in the tourist industry himself as a bus driver for Keith Bruen Coaches back in Ireland.
See kids, sometimes being derpy pays off.
