As a brother and sister compete in a Super Bowl themed football video game it magically comes to life as 22 NFL legends play out the game inside an unsuspecting families' home, literally destroying it in the process. This superbowl ad was the end result.
Thanks to the quick thinking of the younger sister she pulls off an upset win and rights a super bowl wrong by allowing Walter Payton to finally score a Super Bowl touchdown. To bring to life the miniature-sized NFL athletes in a realistic way we used a brand new propriety form of puppetry. Most puppets are controlled by sticks or stings, making them move in childlike ways. We needed to replicate the athleticism, style, and power of the players. We built exact replicas of the puppets, down to the threads of the jersey and individual strands of hair.
"Next we tangibly shot every action sequence, hit and bit of destruction. This was achieved by rebuilding the home we filmed in a puppet studio, filming the puppet stunts there and then comping the puppet action into the real world home."
