Beef Stroganoff
Sauté 2 tbs. finely minced onion in 2 tbs. butter or margarine. Add 1 lb. sirloin steak, cut in thin strips 1/4" x 14" x 2". Brown well on all sides. Add 11⁄2 cups thinly sliced mushrooms and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until tender. Stir in 1⁄2 cup sour cream and heat through but do not boil. Season with salt, pepper and grated nutmeg. Makes 3 servings.
