Is it really that new of a phenomenon though? When i was a teen I was Doc Martens, Fred Perry, Ben Sherman and jolt cola. Still am, come think of it (with a good helping of Karen Millen and Liquor Brand on top). My classmate to the left was Adidas, Kappa and Coke, while my classmate to the right was Pucci and Chai tea.
Sure it is, a slightly repetitive Art Director "badlanded" himself back in 97. Could you get us an image of the payphone version? ;)
The Ikea PS tenth anniversary ad has shown up on Google Video without the Ikea ending and that bit of the skit has been posted to Metafilter (land of a million eyeballs). Must suck when your viral takes off without your tagline....
